hmm this is twilight zone or something - anyhoo - i had wireless working for about 2 days (with wpa supplicant to boot) everything was working perfectly fine , decent speed , etc .. then this morning i try to hibernate (which didnt work but thats not important) so i just ended up turning it of completely , i get to work and i do my usual modprobe ndiswrapper .. and the goddamn thing crashes or stalls - no dmesg output , the keyboard dies (mouse keeps working) , all other net interfaces die (during following attempts i was sshed in on the eth0 to watch /var/log/messages for anything weird , and as soon as i modprobe session ends) , sometimes it's an outright freeze , sometimes just the KB dies , and everything else keeps working ... or sometimes it's a total race condition someplace (the fans go nuts so there must be insane cpu activity) ... any help would be appreciated .. here's what i've done so far :
- rebuilt ndiswrapper from source (make clean make , make install) - unzipped the windoze driver and reinstalled it - tried modprobbing from a tty , from x , while doing handstands and doing buddhist incantations and thats about it .. thanx for any help .. - the wireless does work in os x so it's not like the card got fux0red .. stan ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
