I'd remove your blacklisting file, as the appletouch-load file should
keep the loading order correct (i.e. if the usbhid module is loaded,
load appletouch and appleir first and then load usbhid).

thanks Thomas. what you suggested worked perfectly. i'm curious as to why
the touchpad is not detected if i compile appletouch into the kernel though.
any thoughts on that?
