My battery exibits none of those symptoms.  Only the battery information
is gone, and only in Linux.  As soon as I boot into MacOS it works fine.
 I will probably put in a kernel bug but I have not  had time to remove
all of the binary drivers from my kernel (madwifi and fglrx) to test it
that way.
