My MBP C2D is about 5 months old (bought it end of November last year) and has had 34 battery cycles and has around 52 Wh capacity (94%) so this is relatively consistent with what you're getting and what I've read around.
There are some things you can do to maintain your battery. Calibrate it every two months or so (see OS X help) - I'm not sure if this helps the battery or just lets OS X calibrate its capacity. Also, you should use it enough so it cycles once per week at least. I also avoid microcharging when I can -- i.e. I don't let it discharge just a few percent and then plug it back in. Not sure if this matters but I just do it anyway. I generally try to use it plugged in unless its very inconvenient. cheers, Sheer On 4/30/07, Nick Hoffman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On 30/04/07, Soeren Sonnenburg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > at least it still works with system profiler -> power. ahh and BTW, I am > > down to 34Whrs again - so this increase was probably never really there > > (just the batterie did not after the update know its last full > > capacity) :-( > > > > Soeren > > > > > my 15" MBP C2D is about 2 months old now. /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info says: > design capacity 55000 mWh > last full capacity 51660 mWh > > System Profiler says my charge cycle count is 34. is this loss of 3500 mWh > common? it seems like quite a lot. > -Nick > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express > Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take > control of your XML.
