I have heard this rumor too. If that is the case, is there any plan for a fixed refit? If not, would it be possible to have a patch in lilo/grub to compensate for now? I'd be happy to experiment as long as anyone can give me a pointer to what is the actual problem and an idea on roughly what needs fiddling. As it works SOME of the time, perhaps we just need to poke the right value somewhere?
