Thanks for the reply Jon and everyone else.

My main concern was will I be able to get a linux on it without much
hassle? It seems that it won't be too much of a problem. I should
refrain removing OS/X for the occasional software updates which contain
EFI modifications (Thanks to Ortwin on that one).
