I'm using
Option "Device"
"/dev/input/by-id/usb-Apple_Computer_Apple_Internal_Keyboard_._Trackpad-mouse"
in my xorg.conf, which is a symlink to the correct device every time and
doesn't depend on the order in which the input devices are initialized
(or re-initialized).
