So I installed RHEL WS5 and it seems to run correctly with all ram and mixed densities. So thanks to everyone, Now I have to see if ws5 will work with everything.

Thanks,
Brent

Hey Erik, thanks for the response. This machine was installed with
the 64 bit version of RHELWS4 and the other machine that I took
another test drive out of is also 64 bit. I have tried a number of
ram configs, and while nothing seems to work in RHEL WS4 ( currently
installing WS5), I tried ubuntu, and while it sees more than 2 gigs,
it will only see more if they are all the same size dimms.( For
example 4 512s and 2 1gigs will only show as 2Gigs. but 6 1 gigs will
show as 6 gigs no problem).
Thanks,
Brent
