Ah. This is quite recent. Thanks, I will try to follow your advice. I
asked on #mactel-linux IRC channel, as I assumed that it would be more
active than the mailing list. :/

Also, the LIRC CVS already contains user space appleir support and a
config file, so no patching should be required I guess.

I think that some effort should be made on documenting how to get a
working kernel and support for hardware inside an appletv. I remember
that I had to read a forum thread in order to patch a vanilla kernel
with the required patches.

A start could be documenting the LIRC stuff in some organized way.
