Ricky, thanks for the info. I understand what you mean, but this is very demanding for the average user. To be precise, this is the first time I ever heard that after a scheduled update you would have to know of and to take additional steps to prevent the update from burning down your computer. I will file a separate bug for that.

Installing today's updates, the MacBook gets extremely hot and automatically goes into standby. This looks like an emergency standby caused by the EFI or something because it got overheated. Unless you put a metal plate or something under it, the fan runs on highest level at full power, which is not the usual.
