I confirm this problem for a MacBook Pro rev. 3 with Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 5+ with all of today's updates. Question is whether this is a new bug or the old one again.
This notebook does have a fan, I don't quite get it why Ubuntu hardly ever switches it on and prefers to have the notebook burnt down. -- WARNING: Intrepid might burn down MacBook Pro https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/262550 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mactel Support, which is the registrant for Mactel Support. Installing today's updates, the MacBook gets extremely hot and automatically goes into standby. This looks like an emergency standby caused by the EFI or something because it got overheated. Unless you put a metal plate or something under it, the fan runs on highest level at full power, which is not the usual. Is there a tool you can see the CPU temperature with? _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
