Hi, I am trying to add the PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support/+archive/ubuntu/ppa I am adding the following to /etc/apt/apt.sources.d/mactel-support-ubuntu-ppa-xenial.list: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu xenial main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu xenial main # apt-get update Err:10 http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages 404 Not Found Err:11 http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu xenial/main i386 Packages 404 Not Found W: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu xenial Release' does not have a Release file. N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use. N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details. E: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found E: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/mactel-support/ppa/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. I am getting the above errors when I apt-get update. Could you give me any advice on how to fix this? I have tried replacing "xenial" with "stable" in the two lines of the sources.list.d/mactel-support-ubuntu-ppa-xenial.list but the same issue. regards Andy Barnes
