Hello Ben,

I can only speak from experience, but my laptops tend to remain
plugged in for most of the time and my husband's laptops are used on
battery for more than half of the time. My batteries last much longer
than his. We both only have Apple computers. However, my husband is a
teacher and his students all have laptops, most of them PCs, and their
batteries are often much less robust than the ones in Apple computers.

Although Apple doesn't make its own batteries, it has very exacting
standards.

Cheers,

Anne
