Yes, ring tones show up in the list, and I finally got it to work.  Thanks
very much for the help!  I have no clue what I wasn't doing before.

     Are you seeing the ring tones item in the iTunes source list?  I know
this might be an obvious question and something  you have done, but you have
to make ring tones viewable in the iTunes preferences.
