Wil, I've taken the plunge, but so far I'm having some issues with my
HP Scanner. I have been in contact with ABBYY and they have been at
least responsive, but their suggestion didn't work, but then again the
instructions didn't seem to be for the Mac or we're talking two
different versions. Now do not let me color your opinion yet since I
have to give them a shot here. Of course if I can't resolve the
issue, I will be looking for a refund I assure you and if that comes
to pass, I will of course report how well that process works. Of
course I hope I can resolve this issue. Now good news is the
interface is very accessible, but not so clear why they put duplicate
buttons for the various "Quick Tasks" from the "Quick Tasks" menu. In
other words, there is an unlabeled button, which according to my wife
is a graphical representation of the Convert to Text option which is a
labeled button. Now they have their reasons perhaps, but just
something that would no doubt generate questions. So, not much more
to report yet.
