That’s an interesting idea! Thanks, I’ll think about that. It has an advantage
over File sharing in that I still have the functionality at times when I’m not
on our network.

Thanks!

Donna

Well, if you decide you'd like to try this route just say so and more detail
can be provided.

Um, because I've never set up file sharing before, and haven't a clue about
how to do it, even on a Windows machine. :)

If the two machines are on the same network, why not use file sharing
to
move your files. There was a thread about turning on SMB (Windows) file
sharing on the mac so then you can just mount your mac's drive on your
Windows box and save all your files to your mac.

Hello all,

this may be more of a Windows question than a Mac question, so my
apologies in advance.

I am still moving back and forth between my PC and my Mac, and

because

I have certain tasks that I need to do on my Windows machine, I will
probably need to do so for a while. On several occasions, I have
tried to send files to myself from my Pc to my Mac. Every time I

have

tried, the file I sent does not show up. and the only attachment is a
Winmail.dat file. It doesn't seem to matter what type of file I'm
trying to send. I have tried sending Word files, RTF files, and most
recently a couple of PDF files. I have checked on my PC to try and
find the security setting that would cause this, but have not found
it. Does anyone on this list know what could be causing this, and

how

I could fix it?
Best,
Donna
