Hi,

Yes, your first account will always be the admin account, for added  
accounts you have the option to make them admin type or with  
restricted access. But the first account will still be an admin account.

In the Account settings of System Preferences, you can select what  
account your Mac will automatically load, or you can select to be  
presented with a login window with all accounts in a list if you like.
