Hi, Just to add my two cents worth, my favorite way of navigating in Finder is to press the shortcut key that gets me closest to what I want, such as Command-Shift-C for Computer or Command-Shift-H for Home, interacting with the scroll area in list view, and using Command and Up or Down Arrow. Command-Down Arrow opens whatever folder you're focused on, and Command-Up Arrow backs you out a level.
If I'm going to move between different places frequently, such as when copying material from several folders onto a victor Stream, I open a new Finder window for one of the folders with Command-N and switch between the windows with Command-Accent.
