The thing I don't like is this.  when you have already checked your mail with 
your Mac, the messages remain on the server apparently for at least a week 
afterward even when you have set the account on your iPhone to delete message 
when they are removed from your in box.  I should think, unless I am wrong, 
that trashing all messages and then deleting them from the trash should be 
enough.
