Hi Andrew.

Sometimes developers accept that you can buy an app in the app store, and 
install their own version of the app.

You could try it with finereader, I think it is possible.

If you register your copy of finereader you can get support, and that way you 
can maybe get your purchase changed to their own version.

I think you can just remove the app store version, and install the version from 
abbyy, you can in fact copy your registration code from the finereader for mac 
as I remember, you can do it in the about section.

Anne which version of the finereader do you have. THere has been 1 update for 
the app store version and maybe 2 for the version purchased from abbyy directly.
