Hi Yes, this change will lose a JAWS authorisation key.

I don't need information on what may happen. I'm looking for you to testify about whether you implemented this change and a JAWS authorization was sacrificed. I would not be asking if I didn't already use a Mac. I am gathering that it does but your posts are somewhat unclear with all the maybes. I don't love any operating system or screen reader. Any change you make whether it be ram, hard drive, or maybe even connecting the USB super drive may break your jaws authorization. That's why I love voice over and the mac so much better! It happens if you modify a VM, or change out the ram in your physical computer, or any other modification. One of the many reasons I prefer NVDA. First, I'd see if it is even that; have a sighted person watch as you perform normal tasks. If Windows reacts immediately but speech lags, consider changing the sound buffer size. If the whole thing is slow, your problem lies elsewhere. If you want the link to the article I used, let me know and I can dig it up. I can say, though, that I did this with no adverse effects to my VM (the trick is to completely shut down the VM first). He is using windows 8 under VMWare fusion. He's given windows 8gb ram and is finding that the VM is super slow to react to key presses. I know that there is a trick to adjusting the buffer size so things will speed up, but this did horrible things to my system as well as his system requiring reactivation of JAWS and the sound was horribly glitchy at times. Is anyone who uses JAWS in a VM on windows 7 or 8 getting great responsiveness? If so, what did you do? Are you using 32bit or 64bit? 64bit would be good if possible and are you using a macbook pro or air and what are the specs. Recreating the VM or modifying it is an option and I am prepared to work on this until it's fixed. Thanks.
