The problem seems to be when using Nuance voices. Even if none of your activities change voices, just the act of using a Nuance voice appears to cause slowness. Try switching to Alex and see if that helps, though I realize that is not a solution. Please remember to email accessibil...@apple.com to let them know about the problem.
