The one area in Terminal I would really like to be able to do is cursor up and down a column and have it stay in that column and not go back to the beginning of the line each time. An example of what I'm talking about is take the output of 'ls -l' (detailed file listing) and read just the file names in the right most column. this is quite easy in Speakup on Linux machines but with VO as I have seen it, VO-up and VO-down read the entire line and position the cursor at either end of the whole line depending on cursor motion.
Does anyone have ideas on getting around this problem or is that something VoiceOver users have no control over?
