Hi, The suggestion just may take you out of that cycle. Time Machine already is set to delete older backups to free up space. The problem arises when your initial backup uses up a large percentage of the HD and when Time Machine goes to remove older backups, the initial backup will still use up lots of HD space and the smaller incremental backups don't actually free up enough space to do any good.
