Dear Everyone,

When I worked in windows, I was most comfortable typing and saving
files in Word Perfect. More recently I used MS Word and saved my
files as RTF to share with friends, but when switching to Mac, I moved
all my Word Perfect files to the new Mac. I was told I could open,
edit, print, and so forth these WP files with NeoOffice. A sighted
friend tested it out and was able to open, edit, and print out a test
page. Yet, when I try to open files while using Voiceover to help me
navigate, it does not work. Some times, VO simply speaks gibberish.
Mostly, VO announces that NeoOffice has new window, but then I'm left
with a blank screen and when I try to move VO curser in any direction,
I get a "bonk" sound. I've tried opening files through Text Edit,
Pages, and the documents folder in the dock. I've also gone to the
applications table and opened NeoOffice then go to my documents table
to open a file, but nothing has worked. What am I doing wrong? Thank
you everyone
