Hi there again
I have another idea, but I don't know if you can do it. Apple knows who owns
that iPhone because of serial numbers etc. If you can go into an Apple Store
and prove who you are with your ID, do you think they could erase the thing
over for you so you could start over?
Sincerely,
Gigi

your computer, connect it via USB and bring up iTunes. You then will restore
the phone but lose anything aadded after the last backup.

everything backed up in iCloud. If so, I would sign into the find my iPhone

called friend didn't attempt to use the serial number from your phone
somewhere else.

putting in a pass code too many times, which will result in erasing the
phone and you can start over, and hopefully you have your stuff on the
Cloud. The best of course if you could get that so-called friend to tell you
what the number is. I suspect you can't, or you wouldn't be writing us.
