That is an interesting idea. I will try that and have the Mac and
iPhone connected at the same time. To have the phone unlock with
notifications while I am on the Mac would surely send me off the cliffs.
But it might be useful to do sometime. No, not send me over the cliffs. :)

What if it were true?

I haven't tried it but I think you can just pull the usb plug and if necessary go

bluetooth is really great; I would like to eventually see an upgraded model or
maybe an upgrade to the firmware that would allow one to switch between bluetooth
devices with the press of a button. Right now I have the Edge paired with all my
devices but this means that if one device unlocks temporarily just to tell me how
many notifications I have (it does this even though I don't have notifications in
locked screen; it still has to announce that I have them - lol!) it stops my
display with the i-device I am using and I have to lock and unlock the i-device
again. But I still prefer that to pairing again each time I want to use a
different device. But anyway, my bluetooth keyboards start up at login but maybe
there is some reason why a bluetooth braille display can't. If I were you I would
contact accessibility about this if yo
u really can't use it on bluetooth at login. When I get time, I will do some
testing on this. I do btw use a usb switch to switch my Braille Edge between my
computers with usb but that's more info than you wanted - no extra charge!
