In general when installing an upgrade to Os X, I would see no reason why you
should have to reinstall Windows as long as you aren't using a non-standard
disk partition configuration on your Mac (e.g. you manually modified the
partition configuration after installing Windows via Boot Camp). I don't think
updates to the Support Software are mandatory, either, though sometimes they
provide fixes to possible security issues. In any case, I believe the Dongle
Viewer is located in the JAWS window under the Utilities menu. If your Dongle
requires an update, you'll have to contact Freedom Scientific.. I wouldn't
worry too much if I were you and things are currently working fine. I had to do
some troubleshooting and things didn't go as expected, that's all. It's an
irritant, definitely, but it's not as though you will permanently lose access
to JAWS. If you telephone Freedom Scientific when any issue comes up, I am sure
they will help you put it right. :) While it's obviously important to backup
your data before installing any kind of upgrade, chances are things should go
just fine. Note: I have only installed a minor upgrade to OS X as my computer
came preinstalled with OS X Mavericks, but this information is based on
extensive reading on the Apple Support website. I'm sure others will chime in
if they have different experiences.
