I have a 5s and the same happens to me. Worse: VO cuts out entirely. When a
sighted person starts it it says it is on, but it isn't and the hot key does
not work. This is bad, and that aint good.

Ok, glad to know I'm not alone, I wonder if that's the case with the newer
models. I'm about to upgrade soon, which I'm looking forward to, so I can have
a phone that will run more smoothly. I unfortunately didn't realize IOS8 would
make my 4s so sluggish, or I probably would've held off.

Have you ever had the issue of voiceover constantly turning on and off?
Mine does that a lot, but could just be because I'm running an older model, but
it drives me up the wall, mainly because I don't know that it's shut off, and
I'm just moving around the screen thinking the phone froze up, and then hear
"voiceover on," and it sometimes does this periodicly.

Apple never mentions Voice Over in any of the fixes. The only thing to
do is watch this space to see what others of us find out. My answer is, not
that I can tell.

          Hello,
So does the latest update to IOS 8, being 8.02, fix the bugs with
voiceover as well? I'm curious as I've yet to update to the IOS 8 platform
because of the bugs it has. I didn't see voiceover mentioned on the list of
bugs that it says it addresses so that is why I'm curious since I'm sure there
is a number of bugs that it didn't bullet point out on the details of the
update.

          Take care,

Last night, Apple released IOS8.0.2 which fixes the issue. So, this
is actually already outdated.
