Hi Ray,

That model of MBP is quite easy to upgrade RAM in and doubling your RAM to 8 GB 
would likely see marked improvement in performance.  The upgrade in RAM would 
also be a fraction of the cost of a new Mini or other Mac.  I’ve upgraded a 
couple of MBP’s this way with SSD’s and maxed out the RAM giving them new life 
and amazing speed improvements.
