Hello Phil, I’ve reported the problem of VoiceOver misreporting the page number to Apple Accessibility but I doubt anything will be done about it for a good while yet. The comforting thing to know is that the pages are in fact numbered correctly and there is a way to verify this.
I like Pages for writing as it’s so easy to apply a paragraph style now that we have the short cuts back. It’s true that in the latest version of Pages and Yosemite, we’ve lost the ability to reach the menu button with VO, but we can still do it using either the trackpad or Mouse keys. When using Pages, I often set hotspots in various places to make it easier to get information quickly.
