Hello, When I went to the apple store to get a iPone 6 replaced, they moved the SIM card from the old phone to the new phone. I then had to call into Sprint to have the new phone activated. I am not really sure how SIM cards and CDMA networks interact, though it might be that Sprint / Verizon just use the SIM card fro LTE service.
