Hi list,

I just got my Mac a few weeks ago and am now a shameless evangelist
to all the benighted Windows devotees i know. I have greatly
benefited from all the knowledge collected in the list archives for a
while, but i'm glad to have finally joined today.
I have two questions about VO behavior in Mail. First, if I am in
one mailbox before quitting Mail and then go back to the Inbox when I
restart it, VO often puts me on an early message when I interact with
the message table. It will put me on row 17, for instance, when I
want to be on the newest message in row 43, which is the one I left
the cursor on the last time I was in the InBox. I thought this had
something to do with the fact that I was tabbing and shift-tabbing to
get between the mailbox and message tables, but VO will forget my
position even when I use the VO keys with the arrows instead. I also
have the preview pane turned off and am wondering if that's messing
things up in some way. Any ideas on this?
Secondly, I read that it's possible to rearrange the mailboxes by
dragging them into the preferred order. VO's drag-and-drop
functionality hasn't ever worked for me with this or anything else
I've tried it on. I can't cut the mailboxes to paste them in a
different position either. Is there a more effective way to do this?

Thanks,
Jessie
