I was able to get to control button for renaming a style or creating a shortcut by hitting command-control-option-J (jump to next control) I believe this will work from anywhere in the style table, but I was also attempting combinations of vo-spacebar or vo-command-shift-spacebar. I am fairly confident that I got this to work 2 times in a row.
