Hello Phil, The commands for changing speech attributes on the fly have always only worked on the default voice. As a bilingual Mac user, I always set the Content voice to Default so that I can read in either French or English and switch the voice rapidly. Perhaps when looking in the VoiceOver Utility, you set Content to Default and that’s why it works properly for you now.
