Tim and Alex,
Thanks for the input. Is it possible to just forget Favorites and work with each account by itself? The Thunderbird setup works great for me. TB does have an option to unify all accounts which I never enabled.

I was working with Mail today and trying to come to grips with it. I would like to be able to open any account and view all its contents under it.

Its confusing. An example is that 2 accounts have an Archive folder. When I arrow down the mailbox table, they are listed one ofter the other in the list. I do not know which account they belong to.

Another example is when I see the accounts in the table, there is an inbox above them, and all the subfolders as well as the rest of the default folders following the last account.

So what I want to see is just the accounts unless I expand one.

Hi,

You can move the specific InBoxes you wish quick access to into the Favourites
bar. The beauty of this is that the order of things within the Favourites bar
corresponds to keyboard shortcuts. That is, the first mailbox in the
Favourites bar can be accessed with the keyboard shortcut cmd-1, the second
with cmd-2 and so on. You can usually use the VO-comma to mark and VO-period
to drop Mailboxes from the main Mailbox list over into the Favourites bar.

As far as I know, the only way to do this is for you to go to the mailboxes
table, and select the particular mailbox that way.

God bless. :)

Having used Thunderbird under Windows, I would like to use the same layput
in Mac's Mail app.

With 4 email accounts, I would like to open each account and view its own
inbox, sent and so on, not as a unified setup as it is now under Favorites, Is
this possible?
