when I open folders in order to copy files from 1 place to another, windows remain open for every part of the path. I discovered this when I was cycling through windows to get to the place where I wanted to paste the files. is there anything I can do to change this behavior? I’d like to be able to pop back and forth between the source place and the destination place without all that other stuff in-between. closing the window seems to help rather than command-up-arrow to close the folder but I can’t do that until I’m finished with my procedure.
