Hi Lorrie I think I understand what you’re saying, but I close windows all the time before I finish the copying process. It works fine for me. So like when I do command c to copy, a lot of times I press command w and then later press command v to paste. It works anyway even though I have pressed command w for closing the window. I suspect there is a way to control things by going to Preferences in Finder with command comma, but I haven’t explored that.
