Why not just create a commander?  That's what I do, and it works everywhere.  
So I use option 1 to go to the top of lists, and option 2 to go to the bottom 
of lists.  This also works in mail, safari, and folders.  JMO

Ah, yes, that did work.  Still it'd be nice if there were a keystroke for this
