Yes, I’ve been through the prefs and I heard about the escape key getting VO 
back into focus. 
last night was my first use of AP and I followed your tutorial up to the 
section on markers. After some frustration with using the letter M to set 
markers, I used the P key and that worked out pretty well. I was able to 
isolate sections of the sound file using the markers, routing the insertion 
point, and extending selections etc.

However, I couldn’t get the m or shift m keys to do anything but make that dead 
key clicking sound. 
Now that I’ve had some success and a nights sleep, I’ll go at it again today.   

Can you or anyone tell me what are the differences between setting markers with 
P and with M?
