Hi, Anne, I see the Show Word count option, but it is not a button. Pressing it simply changes the menu item to Hide Word Count. I managed to see the word count a couple times while looking around in the document layout area, but I can’t reliably find the info. Sadly, TextEdit isn’t quite the word processor I need and Pages seems a bit more frustrating to me that it’s worth. I’ll keep plugging away, though. Thanks.
