Hi all, I just wanted to pass along some info from my visit with Baum at CSUN, for those who are interested in the Vario Ultra braille display.
First some comments re form factor. It is really as small and light as they say, it's pretty amazing. And the braille is very crisp. All in all, I was quite impressed with the unit. I spoke with Niels Van Wheele about the issues that Doug brought up on the list here. He said that the problems Doug mentioned have been fixed and that the solutions are currently being tested. He stated that a software update will be released in two weeks that will fix those issues. He also said that the update will contain drivers for the Mac, in addition to the drivers for IOS, which it already contains.. Just wanted to pass this information along in case it is helpful.
