Do you know if that will make the document area correctly read with
Voiceover? If not, no sweat, I'm just wonderring if it will, as I really
don't see a need to reinstall Office if not. I'd like to know ahead of
time, if possible.
If so, then definitely! I'll give it another go.

Go to the menu on the top and word and down to prefferences and you will
find in there a place to not have word open with the view you are inquireing
about

I have installed the beta Microsoft Office 2016 on my MacBook Air 2013. It
would be nice to be able to disable the “Document” Pane. I believe that
the edit field is under it and the pane is blocking it from voiceover.
Hence, this makes Word not accessible to us. I was attempting to send
Microsoft some feedback, but when I clicked on the feedback tab in Word
preferences, there was no method to do this. Has anyone figured out the
magic steps to get rid of the “Document” pane yet? And, does anyone have
the contact to send constructive criticism to Microsoft?
