Definitely not. A thing that I'm sure is always recommended is to read  
the manual. Sometimes that isn't exactly necessary, but in this case  
it's definitely something you have to do. I'm sure you probably have  
by now, mind you.

Another thing that'll help you a lot where both the iPhone and the  
iPod Touch are concerned, is if you have a multi-touch trackpad. The  
gestures are practically the same as they are on the trackpad, and  
that's how I got used to it before I tried out an iPhone. it made it  
kind of easy, except for typing of course. Of course, if you don't  
have one, reading the manual would be your best option then going to  
an Apple store to try out either of the devices. But it's definitely a  
great solution. It's hardly considered the best for everyone, but I'm  
sure it's an amazing tool for a lot of people. No device is the  
perfect tool for everyone.

I know I'm kind of ranting here as usual, so I'll shut up now. :).
