Hi list, I am trying to install mac osx sl server on my macbook, but i get an incompatibility error at the beginning saying that sl server only installs on desktops and servers.
Well, i want to test out the thing before i actually crank out a whole system based on sl, so i chose my macbook for it. I know this problem has to do with the MACbook's ID which tells the install program that it's not a desktop. Does anyone know a way to actually hoax the install or the hardware to change ID, or to pass as something else? It might have some problems with UELA etc, but this is a test for figuring out networks in mac at my office, so we can do a smooth switch. Furthermore, i am purchasing a time capsule for other network features, and sl server would give me some insight on how advanced administration works. If this seems off topic, sorry folks, So if anyone has got a solution, please hit me up off-list. Thanks, and best Yuma Yuma Decaux Light has no value without darkness Skype: shainobi1 twitter: www.twitter.com/triple7 Tel: +85513623378 Yuma Antoine Decaux [email protected] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
