1. Navigate and interact with the toolbar, then navigate to the end of the toolbar where there is a search field. Type text in there to be searched and press return. Then stop interacting with the toolbar, and next to the PDF content area will be a new scroll area. Interact with that scroll area and you’ll find a table of search results. Once you have selected the search result you want from the table, interact with the PDF content area and you’ll be on the page and possibly even the line of the search result.
2. Selecting text has become trickier since OS X Yosemite. Not sure if it has been fixed in the latest update. It used to be that the best way to select text was to enter the VO selection mode using VO return, selecting the text you wanted to highlight with normal VO navigation keys, and then press VO-return to exit selection mode. You could then copy the highlighted text. However, if this doesn’t work, as seems to be the case of late, I just use the VO-shift-c command to copy the last phrase spoken by VoiceOver. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
