I gave up on installing and took my machine in to Best Buy. They don't know
if they can install

Windows 7 as a virtual machine under vm or not. They said they don't do
much work on Macs.

I think it's mostly inexperience on my part. I don't know what I'm looking
for. Before taking the machine in I got as far as under the virtual machines
it says windows is running. Also my sound card, hard disk and other devices
show connected. I couldn't find any area to type in.

I'll let you all know what I find out.

Debra

Just a note. But yeah starting narrator isn't a bad thing when finishing off
windows install.

But to start it.

In the vm fusion / windows 7 setup. Press the

Windows key + the letter U. and narrator will start automatically.

 Or at least it should.

Subject: Installing Windows 7 With VmWare

Hi All,

Can a totally blind person really install Windows in a virtual machine
without sight? I am beginning to have my doubts.

I have a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, Version 3 of Fusion and a full
Windows 7 package. How can I tell when I get into windows? From what I
understand I have to start narrator to finish the Windows installation. I
have opened the virtual window and also have started it in the library. I
usually get the message about inserting a bootable disk after a few minutes
of pressing the Cmd key and typing narrator, but I wouldn't think my
Windows install disks would be bootable. Is there a tutorial somewhere?
Could somebody talk me through this thing maybe this weekend on skype?

Debra
