I've seen that happen, and I've been trying to remember how I fixed it ever since I saw your message earlier today. The good news about this being so hard to remember is that it means it didn't happen again… The bad news is that I can't remember how I fixed it! <grin>
Have you tried turning VoiceOver off once Night Owl loads? What about force-quitting it while it's running, then re-opening it?
