Hi list, and particularly to those of you who have Watches,

Two issues:

1. I have activate on wrist-raise enabled, and speak on raise disabled. When I
raise my wrist, the screen remains off and Siri is not available. I have to
touch the screen before it activates and Siri becomes available. I would like
the screen to turn on when I raise my wrist, and Siri to therefore become
responsive to the “hey Siri” command, but I don’t want VoiceOver to announce
the time every time I raise my wrist. Does disabling the VoiceOver speak on
raise option override the activate on wrist-raise option? Have any of you got
your Watches to activate on wrist-raise without VoiceOver speaking?

2. My screen is sometimes unresponsive. Occasionally it takes several taps on
the screen before it activates. Sometimes tapping and swiping around on the
screen is a little slow and unresponsive. I usually notice this when I’m in a
rush, and my impatiens usually means I stuff things up and take even longer.
Usually when I’m relaxed and patient it works well enough. I’m not sure whether
this occasional lack of responsiveness is just because it’s a 1.0 product which
is relatively under powered, or if it has anything to do with the fact that I
wear it in the shower and frequently get it wet. What have your experiences
been with screen responsiveness?
