It probably won’t surprise you to learn that I receive RSS feeds via email, using rss2email, in effect bringing back the functionality of Apple’s RSS support in Mail (which I actually thought was quite leet) but with the added advantage that the format is open and thus the messages are shareable and can be handled by any client. Rss2email runs under cron on a remote system with an MTA installed, so not exactly the easiest project for a desktop Mac, but if you have a server, it’s just the ticket.
